US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that things are moving "very nicely" towards a summit with Kim Jong Un, leader of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), on June 12 in Singapore.
"It's moving along very nicely," Trump said at the White House. "We're looking at June 12 in Singapore. It hasn't changed. So, we'll see what happens."

Earlier Trump tweeted that the summit was "likely" to happen as scheduled on June 12. The White House also announced it was sending an advance team of about 30 officials to Singapore to prepare for the summit.
Republic of Korea (ROK) President Moon Jae-in met Kim at Panmunjom on Saturday afternoon. Moon said at a briefing on Sunday that both Kim and Trump "wholeheartedly" wish for their summit to be successful.
