Thousands of people from all over the world visited Venice for the city's carnival season on the Cannaregio Canal. This year's moon-themed floating parade pays homage to dreamers and travelers all over the world. Various performances aimed to display the world in a post-apocalyptic style, leading spectators to think of Venice and its memories and dreams. This year's Venice Carnival runs from Feb. 16 to March 5, a public party lasting for weeks leading up to the Roman Catholic period of Lent.
