Nie Yong, a senior executive of an e-commerce firm affiliated with Kweichow Moutai Group, was arrested for bribery on Friday night, according to a statement released by the People's Procuratorate of Tongren City.
This comes as a second arrest in the latest crackdown against Kweichow Moutai Group over bribery allegations. Yuan Renguo, the company's former chairman, was arrested for accepting bribes on Thursday.
Upon approval by the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, Yuan has also been expelled from the CPC and sacked from all public posts.
Yuan severely violated political discipline and used Moutai liquor as a means to ingratiate himself with others and seek benefits, said a statement issued by the CPC Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection on Wednesday.
Both of the cases are under further investigation.
