Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Beijing on Thursday. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Hungary diplomatic ties. Xi expressed his hope of bringing bilateral ties between China and Hungary to a new level. Orban said he realized that the future of Hungary largely lies on its relationship with China as early as 10 years ago and pointed out that the Belt and Road Initiative is not a threat, but an opportunity.
