Art fair JINGART returns for second year

Modern and contemporary art fair JINGART returns to Beijing for its second edition at the historical Beijing Exhibition Center. This time, over 40 domestic galleries and internationally renowned dealers from around the world were featured at the event from May 30 to June 1.
JINGART 2019 is a great showcase of modern and contemporary art with an extraordinary breadth of artwork on show for collectors and art lovers of all levels.
41 galleries and exhibitors from around the world gather under the dome of Beijing Exhibition Center and feature museum-quality works of art and design of different eras and genres.
Among them are famous galleries such as Pace Gallery and David Zwirner.

"We are presenting a selection of artists from our program, from the very established artists like Josef Albers, Alice Neel, to the emerging figures like Stan Douglas," said Leo Xu, director of David Zwirner. The art fair also features solo exhibitions of outstanding artists.
Hauser & Wirth presents a solo exhibition of Gutai artist Takashi Matsutani, exploring his unique visual language of form and materials.
"Last year, we brought a selection of artists, it was a mix of modern art. This year, we're doing a solo booth of Japanese Gutai artist Takashi Matsutani," said Ying Yue Li, director of Hauser & Wirth.
JINGART was founded by the team of ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair in 2018. It focuses on modern and contemporary art and design, featuring finest artworks from the East and West.

"This year, we have a lot of new things and participants. There's also internationally renowned art galleries. It's a mix of modern and contemporary art, design, furniture, and jewelry. The combination is very interesting," said Kylie Ying, co-founder of JINGART. The art fair is committed to combining the dynamic and diverse culture of Beijing with the international art market.
It hopes to build an art exchange platform for local and international galleries, artists, and art institutions, and offer artistic and cultural exchange to the general public.
