Wang Yi meets top Arab states diplomats in Beijing

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday met top diplomats from Lebanon and Djibouti, who visited Beijing for the eighth ministerial meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

China to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Lebanon

Speaking to Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Raed Khouri, Wang congratulated Lebanon on becoming the 87th member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

China supports the Lebanese government to develop its economy. China will continue to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Lebanon and actively participate in the infrastructure construction in Lebanon, said Wang.
Khouri, for his part, said Lebanon is grateful to China for its long-term support to help Lebanon's development. 
"Lebanon is currently in the process of reconstruction and is eager to see China actively participate in the economic reconstruction and social development process of the country, especially help Lebanon build infrastructure. Lebanon is willing to provide as much convenience as possible for Chinese companies," he said.

China, Djibouti to enhance mutual understanding in major issues

During his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Wang said China-Djibouti cooperation benefits both peoples, calling on both sides to more firmly understand and support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns.
He suggested both countries take the opportunity of the Belt and Road construction to enhance cooperation in various areas.
Youssouf appreciated China's long-term assistance to Djibouti, saying that his country stands ready to boost bilateral cooperation and will continue to provide support and help to the operation of China's military base in Djibouti.
China, Jordan pledge more Belt and Road Initiative cooperation 
When meeting with the Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs of Jordan Ayman Safadi, Wang said China appreciates that Jordan firmly adheres to the one-China policy, and will always support Jordan in regional issues.

He congratulated Jordan on hosting the next ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF), and said he hopes the meeting will make a new contribution to the strategic partnership of China-Arab states.
Safadi said Jordan attaches great importance to the Belt and Road Initiative, and stands ready to enhance cooperation with China under its framework.
Jordan hopes China will play an important and constructive role in the Middle East issues, he said. The two sides also exchanged views on the Syrian issue.
