A 6.2 earthquake jolts Tajikistan-Afghanistan border

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border on Wednesday, according to the US Geological Survey.

Tremors were felt at least as far away as the Afghan capital Kabul and Pakistani capital Islamabad.

The tremor hit at a depth of 96km, about 67km south of the provincial capital of Khorugh.

There are no reports of casualties yet.
