Marionettes take over Mexico City to celebrate puppetry art

Green dragons, singing dogs and dancing monkeys took to the streets of Mexico City on March 24. The puppets and their puppeteers were part of the World Puppetry Day celebrations. World Puppetry Day has been marked on March 21 since 2003. It celebrates the world of fantasy that the art of puppetry creates. The idea came from Iranian puppet theater artist Javad Zolfaghari.
