In the past two months, the temperature in Mohe City in the northernmost part of China, has reached around minus 30 degrees Celsius. The extreme cold weather also marks the dawn of the peak season of tourism. Thousands of tourists from across the globe come here to experience the mesmerizing snow world and "mysterious" border between China and Russia in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.

When boiling water is thrown into freezing air, vapors encounter an extreme temperature difference, which rapidly cools down and condenses into ice crystals, forming an arc-shaped ice halo. It looks like numerous arrows shooting in a circle, accompanied by the sound of vapor condensation, becoming a popular game for tourists.
"It's so exciting to splash water into ice. The photos taken are very beautiful, and there's no other place where you can try this," said a tourist from south China's Jiangxi Province.

China's very own winter wonderland Mohe City is developing its eco-tourism by relying on natural resources like forests, ice and snow, local folk art, and arctic lights. If you're a fan of the cold and appreciate the beauty that snow adds to a landscape, then Mohe City is the place for you!
