Republic of Korea's (ROK) President Moon Jae-in and US President Donald Trump agreed they would work closely together on a second summit between President Trump and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un, the White House said on Monday, as the two leaders expected the meeting would happen not too distant future.
Moon met Trump on the sidelines of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, days after Moon concluded his third meeting with Kim in Pyongyang.
A possible second Trump-Kim summit was also confirmed by the US president.

Speaking to reporters at the UN, Trump said his second meeting with Kim is likely to be held "quite soon" and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is working on the details for the second summit.
At Monday's meeting, Moon shared with Trump the outcomes of the September inter-Korean summit, during which Kim reiterated his commitment to complete denuclearization, the White House said in a statement.
Trump commended Moon on conducting a successful third meeting with Kim, the statement said. But it said Trump stressed there remained much work to be done to accomplish the goal of achieving the "final, fully verified denuclearization" of the DPRK.
The two leaders agreed to maintain the existing sanction until the DPRK completes the denuclearizing process, it added.

Moon, who arrived in New York on Sunday for the 73rd UNGA, is seeking wider international support for his efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
In a separate meeting with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Moon urged international attention when there is an important change in the region, such as an inter-Korean summit, US-DPRK summit and reunion of separated families, Yonhap reported, citing the presidency office.
Moon also briefed Guterres the outcome of the inter-Korean summit last week, and expressed his gratitude to the UN chief on the DPRK issue, Yonhap said.
Guterres hailed Moon and his government's work on pushing for the denuclearization of the Peninsula, and said the UN will continue to work with the ROK on the issue.
