President Xi met with state leaders from India, Belarus and Afghanistan during bilateral meetings in Qingdao on Sunday. During a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Xi welcomed India which attended the summit for the first time as a member state. When meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Xi said China considers Belarus a key partner in the Belt and Road Initiative. Xi also met with his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani.
