For nearly all of us, finding an ideal job matters. But the 1980s in China saw plenty of educated young people staying at home waiting for jobs. And that generation gave birth to the term "dai ye qing nian" or "youth awaiting employment." Nowadays, with an expansion of China's higher education enrollment, young people are actively engaged in job hunting, and they no longer need to wait for a job. Looking back at history, we can see how times have changed when it comes to choosing a job.
