Ex-PSG coach Unai Emery was officially unveiled as the new manager of Arsenal on Wednesday. Gunners assistant coach Mikel Arteta had been the favorite to succeed Arsene Wenger's 22-year stint with the club, but it’s the ex-PSG coach who takes the reins at the Emirates Stadium for his first job in the Premier League.

Yesterday saw Emery presented by Arsenal Chief executive Ivan Gazidis as he officially takes charge of first-team responsibilities. The Spaniard lifted three successive Europa League titles with Sevilla before moving to PSG in 2016 where he won three trophies before leaving at the end of last season.
The 46-year-old emerged as the shock favorite earlier in the week after reports surfaced the team's former captain turned coach, Arteta, was set to land the job. Gazidis later explained Emery was the stand-out candidate from an eight-man short-list. His new man in the dugout can't wait to get going with the London club looking to improve their disappointing league form from the previous two seasons where they failed to reach the Champions League.
