An eight-year-old Guatemalan migrant boy died shortly after midnight on Christmas Day after being detained by U.S. border agents. This makes him the second migrant child to die in U.S. detention this month alone. Jakelin Caal, a seven-year-old also from Guatemala, died in U.S. border agent custody earlier in December. Her funeral was being held on the same day in her family's village in Guatemala.
