Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday met his Chad counterpart Idriss Deby in Beijing after the conclusion of the 2018 Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Xi said the FOCAC summit has successfully concluded. He thanked Deby and his government's contribution to the forum.
The two countries should take the opportunity under the framework of FOCAC and deepen mutual trust and expand cooperation in infrastructure, energy and mining, Xi added.
China is also willing to help Chad in such areas as anti-terrorism and peacekeeping.
Deby praised the summit, saying he never saw so many African countries' leaders gathering in past events.
During the meeting, African leaders discussed the idea - community with a shared future between China and Africa, Deby said.
It shows President Xi and China have won African countries' trust, he said, adding that he is very confident about the future China-African cooperation.
China is the third largest export partner and the second largest import partner of Chad. The bilateral trade reached 335 million US dollars in 2017, representing a 60.71 percent increase from the previous year.
The two leaders also witnessed the signing ceremony of a series of cooperation deals.
