At least 17 people were injured in an explosion that rocked a bus on Wednesday in Jiajiang County, Leshan City, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The blast took place at around 5:31 p.m. local time, shattering the bus's windows, local police said.

The injured have been hospitalized and are in stable condition.

The suspect, who is responsible for the explosion as shown by the surveillance camera on the bus, was arrested by local police on Friday. 

Video footage shows the suspect, a local farmer, boarding the bus and lighting a bag he was carrying, which may have contained explosives.
