The entrance fee for the Caka Salt Lake Scenic Area was cut to 30 yuan per person, half the regular price, in April to welcome the upcoming tourism season.
To better serve visitors, two wooden paths will be built this year, leading to the central area of the salt lake. Still, new projects including "the best shooting site" and the "cultural corridor" will be unveiled.

A new travel app "Sunshine Qinghai" was released on April 1, in both English and Chinese.
Located in Ulan County of northwest China's Qinghai Province, Caka Salt Lake covers an area of some 100 square kilometers, at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. The natural crystallized saline lake is known as the "mirror of the sky" and has attracted tourists from home and abroad.
The price-cutting strategy is one of the government's measures to boost the healthy development of its local tourism industry.
China will further cut ticket prices for other tourist attractions, with preferential policies for soldiers, teenagers, senior citizens, students and the disabled.
