The Australian state of Queensland and the ridesharing company Uber have announced plans to launch the world's first rideshare submarine over the Great Barrier Reef. Passengers will be able to book through the Uber app. They will be transported to Heron Island via a helicopter where they can board the submarine. The trips will run from May 27 to June 18 at a cost of about 2,000 U.S. dollars for two people.
