The chief of the UN nuclear agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on Monday said Iran complied with the nuclear deal after the United States' withdrawal.
"Iran was implementing its nuclear-related commitments, and that we had access to all sites and locations that we needed to," said IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano at a press meeting during the board meeting in Vienna.
The IAEA is in charge of monitoring restrictions on Iran's nuclear program under the nuclear agreement, which was reached in July 2015 in Vienna.
After the US withdrew from the historic nuclear deal, the IAEA repeatedly confirmed that Tehran complied with the nuclear deal and kept cooperating with the agency.

However, Amano said there is still room for Iran to boost the cooperation with the IAEA.
Moreover, Amano also told reporters that the IAEA will be able to resume verification activities at short notice, "within weeks, not months, once (governing) board authorization is given," when talking about verifying any possible agreement between Washington and Pyongyang according to the Associated Press.
He said "it is very clear that if there is anybody, any organization, that can do the verification, it is only us, the IAEA."
