Six people were killed and one injured after a fire engulfed a residential building in Xishan District of Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province on Saturday, according to local authorities.
The fire broke out at around 4:47 a.m. BJT on the first floor of the building, and was put out in 15 minutes.
Seven people were taken to hospital and are in a stable condition.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is currently underway.
