Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli became the fastest man to reach 10,000 One Day International (ODI) runs as he hit an unbeaten 157 against West Indies on Wednesday. The 29-year-old surpassed fellow Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, who first crossed the 10,000-run mark in his 259 innings in 2001.
Kohli needed only 205 and became the 13th cricketer to reach 10,000 runs during the second ODI in Visakhapatnam.
Kohli, who will turn 30 next month, was playing his 213th ODI, and went on to score 157 off 129 deliveries to register his 37th ODI century since making his debut against Sri Lanka in 2008.
