With the upcoming conference on Asian Civilizations, parades and a food festival are planned in Beijing from May 16 to 22.
Asian Civilization Parade
Beijing Olympic Park will host a costume parade every morning and afternoon. A total of 16 foreign and 28 domestic performance troops will sing and dance, while proceeding along the park's landscape avenue.

Also in the parade are vehicles with paper decorations of symbolic architectures and cultural symbols of Asian countries. Featured graffiti walls are also set on the scene to liven up the atmosphere.
Entry to the venue should be booked on damai.cn, with the daily cap of 7,000. You'd better be quick to secure a seat.
Asian Cuisine Festival
After watching the parade, you are recommended stay longer to visit eight exhibitions that feature the cuisines of countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
