Scores injured after oil truck explodes near Italy’s Bologna airport

An oil truck exploded and caught on fire in a road accident on the highway near Italy's Bologna airport on Monday.

Local media La Repubblica said at least 55 people have been injured in the accident, but the report was yet to be confirmed.

Firefighters are on the scene to put out the blaze and traffic is blocked.

A bridge at the scene has been partially collapsed.

Bologna Airport said flights are not affected.
