Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, sent a congratulatory letter Monday to Julius Nyerere Leadership College in Tanzania, for its groundbreaking ceremony.
The college was founded by Tanzania's ruling party the Chama Cha Mapinduzi, South Africa's African National Congress, Mozambique's ruling party the Mozambique Liberation Front, the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola, South West African People's Organization of Namibia and the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front.
These six parties are all important forces leading the struggle for national liberation and economic construction in their respective countries, Xi pointed out.
He also said that building the Julius Nyerere Leadership College is a vital measure for the six parties to strengthen their parties' own construction and improve governing abilities so as to make positive contributions to their own countries' development.
In his letter, Xi said the CPC is willing to join hands with political parties of African countries to better forge a China-Africa community of shared destiny.
