Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao beat his rival Adrien Broner, who is 11 years younger than the veteran, in a successful defense of the WBA welterweight title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The eight-division world champion Pacquiao grabbed the WBA welterweight world belt from Lucas Martin Matthysse last July in Malaysia, while the four-division world champion Broner hasn't won since early 2017.
The Filipino said at the pre-match press conference that, "I have something to prove: That at 40 I can still be at my best." And after 12 rounds, he did just that with the unanimous decision victory.
