M6.0 earthquake strikes Japan’s Chiba

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 struck near Japan's eastern Chiba prefecture at 8:23 p.m. local time, the Japan Meteorological Agency said on Saturday.
The quake was estimated to have a depth of 50 kilometers.
The tremor could be felt in the capital Tokyo, but no tsunami warning was issued.
