The Chinese mainland has always attached great significance to investments from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and will introduce more preferential policies for them, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Friday.
Li made the remarks while meeting the press at the Great Hall of the People after the conclusion of the annual national legislative session.
The move is to ensure that the three areas will enjoy the same treatment as people on the Chinese mainland when they work, study, live and do business, the premier noted.
The newly passed foreign investment law will also provide stronger protection and a better business environment for investors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The Chinese mainland will listen closely to them and welcome their investments as well, Li added.
