In a fresh installment of "By The Hand Of The Ten" with Diego Maradona, the former Argentina captain and coach analyzes France's potential to win the title match in Russia.
The 1986 Golden Ball winner looked at the key strengths of the squad coached by Didier Deschamps, and talked about a player that he thinks could follow in his footsteps, as the tournament's best overall performer.
Maradona said France is a serious contender in taking the World Cup. The Argentine idol argued that French midfielder N'Golo Kante is one of the best players in this year’s tournament.
He also praised a slew of other French players, Kylián Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Samuel Umtiti, for their respective skills and performances on the field. “France has a solid goalkeeper, a defense that when they go up score goals and a well-structured midfield.”
