Every year, tens of thousands of red-billed gulls migrate to Kunming City in southwest China's Yunnan Province to escape harsh winters of Siberia.
This is the 34th consecutive year that red-billed gulls from Siberia and other places have arrived in Kunming.
Since their arrival in Kunming in 1985, these "elves" have lived in harmony with local citizens and tourists, becoming an integral part of the city.
