Bus carrying Chinese tourists crashes in south Turkey

Two Turkish citizens were killed and 30 others injured, mostly Chinese, in a tour bus accident in Turkey's southern province of Antalya on Sunday, the Chinese embassy in Turkey confirmed.
The accident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) on the outskirts of Akseki, a small town near Antalya, when the tour bus collided with two automobiles on its way to Cappadocia, and then flipped over. The photos from the scene showed that the bus was severely damaged.
The Chinese embassy to Turkey told a CCTV Mandarin reporter that there were 33 people on the bus, including 31 Chinese tourists, and a driver and his co-driver; 30 Chinese tourists were injured, and three of them were severely injured. They have been taken to the local hospital for treatment.

A 60-year-old woman was in critical condition and according to local media, she had been sent by helicopter to Antalya.
A number of ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene after the accident.
The Turkish Ministry of Interior called China's Ambassador to Turkey, Yu Hongyang after the accident, to express sympathy, and he said that Turkey is going to offer any necessary assistance to Chinese tourists there.
