Ten original productions by China Media Group (CMG) were presented at the ongoing Cannes International TV Series Festival in France on Tuesday.

It's the first time that CMG has hosted a promotion for its original programs overseas, in the hope of seeking further development and more international cooperation after a reshuffle in March 2018. 

CMG, under whose umbrella CGTN falls, is dedicated to becoming the largest comprehensive media group in the world.

In the documentary category, season two of "Aerial China" displays the country's magnificent landscapes from a bird's-eye view. "Treasures of China" and "Secrets of China" give an in-depth interpretation of the invaluable cultural relic collections of China's top museums.

"South of the Ocean" and "Eternal Friendship" narrate the cultural links and symbiotic relations between China and Southeast Asian countries and the Arab World respectively. And "China on the Rail" takes the viewers to see the great achievements of the nation through the eye of Chinese and French TV hosts on their train journeys.

"Panda and Krash" is the first animated series produced through a Chinese and Russian partnership while  "Marshmallow and Cloud Mama" is a popular family cartoon.

CMG also presented original TV programs "Beloved Family" and "Forward to the Future". The showcases are expected to promote international cooperation between CMG and other foreign media while at the same time build a channel to tell the Chinese stories to communicate with the world.

A marketing event for popular Chinese documentaries was also held at the festival. The Cannes International Series Festival concludes on April 10.
