The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee has announced that it has begun selecting franchise dealers, closely following an earlier statement that it was choosing product manufacturers.
Both initiatives are part of the franchise marketing project of the 2022 Games, the committee said in its latest official report.
Potential enterprises are urged to submit their certificates and proof regarding their credit, social reputation, corporate resources, and operating capabilities by June 5. Candidate corporates should be registered for over two years with the registration capital above 10 million yuan (1.5 million US dollars).

Qualified corporations will sign contracts allowing them to open franchise stores in hosting cities of Beijing and Zhangjiakou and certain other regions. Specifically, contracted enterprises are entitled to sell licensed products at shopping malls, scenic areas, hotels, stadiums, airports and railway stations across north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the northeastern provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning, eastern provinces of Shandong and Zhejiang and Guangdong Province in the south.
Franchise dealers are also responsible for promoting the Olympic spirit and Chinese culture through their selling channels, and encouraging Games-related social participation, said the committee.
