‍One of Cuba's most popular annual events, the Havana International Book Fair, is now underway with participation of 127 publishing houses from 44 countries and regions as well as 400 guest artists.

"Different cultures gather here at the Book Fair. This year's event offers more choices for youth and prices are also quite reasonable," said Linda, a student.
For many Cubans, touring the book fair is a family activity. In addition to reading and shopping for books, parents and their kids can attend workshops by their beloved writers, enjoy good food and take part in entertainment.
At the Chinese Pavilion, visitors not only see literary works from China but also learn calligraphy, papercutting and how to play Chinese chess.
"I'm here to learn more about China's culture and history," said a visitor.

Launched in 1982, the Havana International Book Fair is now in its 28th year.
It has grown into an enriching cultural event including lectures, seminars, concerts, films and visual arts exhibitions.
The fair will go on a roadshow across other regions of Cuba, after its Havana chapter closes on February 17.
