Defending champions Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 101-92 in Game Seven of the NBA Western Conference Finals to advance to the title round for the fourth straight year and give themselves a chance to win their third title in four attempts.
Houston took the initiative early on, as James Harden scored 14 of his 32 points in the first quarter, including getting fouled by Klay Thompson on a three-pointer.
But Golden State kept fighting after the break, as Stephen Curry found Kevin Durant for three of his game-high 34 points. The Warriors drew within eight.

They soon grabbed the lead, and then Curry stepped back to launch a long bomb of his own, connecting with the help of a friendly bounce and putting the champions in front by half a dozen.
The Rockets missed an epic 27 straight triples on the night, with most of them coming from the third. Curry took the chance to pull away. He had 27 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.
Golden State continued to build on their advantage as Draymond Green passed to Thompson for a three from the corner, and the Warriors appeared to be on cruise control in the fourth quarter. Later it was Klay to Dray on the fast break, as the curtain came down on Harden and Houston.
The champs won the series 4-3. Next up is the rematch against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
