A joint police patrol between China and Italy kicked off Monday in Rome.
This is the third time that the two countries have carried out such a patrol.
Ten uniformed Chinese officers will be patrolling areas in Rome, Milan, Venice and Prato in collaboration with their Italian colleagues from May 28 to June 17.

During the joint patrol, a hotline for Chinese will be set up, in which the Chinese personnel will assist the Italian side in dealing with related issues.
In addition, the Chinese and Italian police officers will visit the neighborhoods and workplaces of overseas Chinese to learn about the relevant security conditions and needs.
After the conclusion of the patrol, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security will also invite the Italian police to send personnel to China for joint patrols.
