The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) reiterated calls for the Republic of Korea (ROK) to faithfully complete the Panmunjom Declaration on Friday, emphasizing the importance of the cooperation to fundamentally improve and develop the two's relations.
The adoption of the Panmunjom Declaration laid a valuable foundation for the development of relations between the two sides, said the Rodong Sinmun, a newspaper of the DPRK's ruling party.
Both countries should make steady efforts to mend their relations under any situation and circumstances and sincerely implement the Panmunjom Declaration, it added.

The Panmunjom Declaration is the set of agreements that the two nations' leaders reached a summit in April. They agreed to work toward the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, end hostile acts against each other and foster cross-border exchange and contact, ROK's Yonhap News Agency reported.
The two sides launched their joint liaison office in the DPRK's border town of Kaesong on Friday with the expectation to help foster cross-border exchange and ease tensions.
ROK's President Moon Jae-in is due in Pyongyang on Sept. 18 for a three-day visit, which is also his third summit with the DPRK leader Kim Jong Un this year.
The meeting will review the achievements of the Panmunjom Declaration and discuss issues such as building a permanent peace and common prosperity on the Korean Peninsula, especially the practice plan of denuclearization.
