Skyscraper climbing contest in Chongqing to kick off

Thriller-seekers are surely be excited for the coming match in China's Chongqing as over 1,000 skyscraper climbers will compete at the city's highest-so-far 339-meter-tall building on June 9.

This is the fourth international climbing match in the southwestern municipality since 2015, organized by local government and sports bureau. This year marks the Chongqing World Financial Center (WFC) at CBD area of Yuzhong District with the overall prize fund worth 150,000 yuan (23,410 US dollars).

Climbers aged from 16-60 can participate in the match at four categories: by individuals, by five-member team with at least one male participant, by mixed-gender duo team and by parent-child section while the child's age range is 6-12. Meanwhile, the destination is at Floor 26 for parent-child team in comparison to Floor 73 for the other three.

Organizers say they have allocated seven water-supply stops and both stable and movable medical teams inside the building.
