Casualties feared as bridge collapses in India

Casualties were feared after a bridge collapsed in Kolkata, the capital of India's West Bengal state, on Tuesday afternoon, local media reported.
The Majerhat bridge collapsed at about 4:45 p.m. local time (1115 GMT), during the city's rush hour.
Images from local media show several vehicles trapped under the bridge.
No casualties have yet been reported, but search operations are underway, Indian news agency ANI reported citing West Bengal Minister. There are also reports that say several people have been killed or injured.
It is reported that the 40-year-old bridge was repaired last month "in three days."
