Warriors top the NBA Summer Power Rankings among 30 teams after a turbulent offseason, said an article published by NBC Sports last Thursday. Among the top 10 of the rankings, the West overweight the East teams slightly due to a ratio of 6:4.
Warriors dominate the league thanks to its core -- Death Lineup and DeMarcus Cousins’ joining in spite of his Achilles tendon injury, leaving a dubious appearance in the coming regular season. The defending champion plays a prevailing small ball in league with three championships in four years.

Following Warriors, Celtics tops the East with an upgraded lineup next season – robust youngsters Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Terry Rozier and soon-to-be healthy players, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. Boston coached by Brad Stevens can be a big threat to Golden State owing to former’s defense.

As the rival at Western Conference Finals last season, Rockets fought until the seventh game but failed to impede Warriors. During the NBA transactions, Chris Paul was secured via a four-year deal, while Clint Capela was still unsigned due to the salary issue. With Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute leaving the team, Houston would manage to get 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony to make up.
The rest of the top 10 are 76ers, Raptors, Jazz, Thunder, Lakers, Spurs and Pacers.

The Spurs-Raptors deal made a denouement of the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard drama last season. San Antonio sends Leonard to Toronto for a package including DeRozan. Former FMVP’s health is a question mark for Raptors and DeRozan could add Spurs more offense in the coming season.

After fifteen seasons in the East, the 33-year-old LeBron James signed a four-year deal with Lakers intended to usher LA to the playoffs in the new season assisted by newcomers Rajon Rondo and JaVale McGee, along with young talents Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma.
