China men's soccer team to face Saudi Arabia in Asian Games last 16

China's U23 team have confirmed their opponents for the last 16 of the Asian Games soccer tournament.
Massimiliano Maddaloni's side will face Saudi Arabia in the first knockout round after qualifying from Group C.
China learned their fate on Monday evening, after finishing as group winners following their 2-1 defeat of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Despite the loss, the UAE still progressed as one of the four best third-placed teams in the tournament, along with Hong Kong of China, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The UAE will meet hosts Indonesia in the knockout stage while Hong Kong of China and Bahrain take on Uzbekistan and Vietnam respectively.
Elsewhere in Group E, South Korea advanced to the last 16 as the runners-up after narrowly beating Kyrgyzstan 1-0 on Monday.
Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min scored the winner for the defending champions who next face the Group F winners Iran in the round of 16 on Thursday.
