Juventus have signed goalkeeper Mattia Perin from Genoa to replace club legend Gianluigi Buffon, as The Old Lady looks to secure an eighth straight Serie A title, according to a club announcement on Friday.
The Italian club signed the 25-year-old Latina native on a four-year contract for 12 million euros (14 million US dollars).
According to the club statement, "the purchase value may increase by a further maximum of three million euros (3.5 million US dollars) on achieving given conditions in the course of the duration of the contract."

Perin made his league debut for Genoa in 2011 and went on to make 148 Serie A appearances for I Rossoblu.
In the last five years, Perin has had a Serie A saves percentage of 73 percent – second only to Buffon himself.
Juve's club captain Buffon has left after 17 years with the club, topping off his career by leading his team to a seventh straight title and fourth consecutive Italian Cup triumph.
It remains unclear on whether Perin will automatically take the No.1 jersey from Buffon. Last month, Juventus' chief executive Giuseppi Marotta told media that Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny would be the club's main shot-stopper.
Perin is Juventus' second major signing so far this summer. Earlier this month the club confirmed a 40 million euro (47.2 million US dollars) deal for Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich.
