The State Council has held a banquet to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang both attended the event. Premier Li laid out the accomplishments in structural reforms during his speech, saying China will continue to improve people's livelihood in social welfare, education and pension.
