‍The 40-year-old legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, a symbol of Juventus for the past 17 years, made his public debut on Saturday in the International Champions Cup after just signing for Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago.

On July 15, the French third division team FC Chambly hosted a private match against Thomas Tuchel's PSG. However, Buffon conceded a penalty, making his first appearance not a little bit embarrassing, and the Ligue 1 title holder finally ended in a 4-2 loss to the 2017/18 season French Cup semi-final participant Chambly.

When facing Bayern Munich on July 21, at the Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria, Buffon started for PSG while wearing a No. 30 jersey. In the 31st minute, 18-year-old Timothy Weah, the son of AC Milan legendary footballer and current Liberia President George Weah, kicked off the scoring to give PSG a 1-0 lead. However, Javier Martinez equalized for the Bayern Munich in the 60th minute with a header.

Buffon was then substituted off and replaced by the 22-year-old Remy Descamps, who was beaten by strikes from Renato Sanches in the 71st minute and Joshua Zirkzee in the 78th minute as Bayern won over PSG 3-1.
In the next season of Ligue 1, without other transfers, Alphonse Areola is probably still the first goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain. But with Gianluigi Buffon's joining, PSG's first squad becomes even more gorgeous apart from having plenty of 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia winners.
