CGTN & National Geographic co-produce documentary “The Silk Railroad,” presenting how the world’s longest railway is connecting China to cities across Europe. The Yiwu-Madrid Railway extends for 13,000 kilometers. A 30-minute drive from the downtown Yiwu is Fotang ancient town which was once a hive of activity. It was part of the Qiantang river system that goes all the way to Hangzhou 150 kilometers to the north, which then connects to Beijing through the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal system.
