A "bazaar" is a traditional type of market in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. There is only one central bazaar in the region's Bachu County, and it's only open on Wednesdays. It occupies around 29 acres and, when the bazaar opens, about 3,000 villagers come to shop and trade goods.
