An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Pandan, Philippines at 2:19 p.m. local time on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Earlier, the institute reported the magnitude was 5.9.
The epicenter, with a depth of 21 km, was monitored at 14.45 degrees north latitude and 123.98 degrees east longitude.
The tremor was felt in many parts of the Philippines, including its capital Manila.
No damages have been reported so far as the epicenter was centered in the sea, according to the institute. However, aftershocks could be expected from the quake.
