Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited the DPRK leader Kim Jong Un to visit the country, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
Peskov said Kim may visit Russia to attend an economic forum held in the far eastern city of Vladivostok in September.
Putin extended the invitation in a letter recently delivered by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who met with Kim during a trip to Pyongyang last week, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.

Lavrov, who visited Pyongyang on May 31, also held talks with his counterpart Ri Yong Ho about the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the wider region.
Lavrov's visit, the first to the country since 2009, came amid a flurry of diplomatic activity ahead of a summit between Kim and US President Donald Trump.
