Three Chinese tourists dead, five injured in crash in New Zealand

Three Chinese tourists have been confirmed dead after a head-on car crash on Friday.

A further five people were hurt in the two-vehicle collision, and two of them are Chinese tourists, police said.

Two people had serious injuries and three others had minor to moderate injuries, according to the police.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the scenic spot, Lake Tekapo, on New Zealand's South Island.
