Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Beijing on Friday. Xi said China will strengthen cooperation with Thailand by building the China-Thailand railway and developing Eastern Economic Corridor. Xi added that China will support Thailand in fulfilling its duties as chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Thai prime minister spoke highly of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), saying that Thailand will further participate in the BRI.
