Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto agreed on Tuesday to work together to promote the smooth implementation of major cooperative projects between the two countries.
The two leaders met in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
Hungary-Serbia railway is a landmark project for bilateral cooperation and "16+1" cooperation, said Wang, adding that the railway project is also of great significance for the joint construction of Belt and Road.
Wang said Sino-Hungarian relations have developed very well and there are no problems between the two countries.
"The two sides should coordinate closely and jointly organize the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary next year," he noted.
Szijjarto, for his part, said Hungary is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in areas including trade and tourism, and will push forward major projects such as Hungary-Serbia railway.
